彭仁隆博士擁有在臺北市立動物園超過20年於動物組擔任區長的經驗。他在國立臺灣大學獸醫所獲得他的動物福利博士學位，並曾經回到母校開授「動物福利科學」課程。彭博士也同時是臺北市立動物園、東南亞動物園暨水族館協會(SEAZA)，以及歐洲動物園暨水族館協會(EAZA)的動物福利小組委員。
Dr. Shawn Peng is a curator of animal department at Taipei Zoo for over 20 years. He received his PhD in animal welfare and conducted “Animal Welfare Science” course at veterinary school, National Taiwan University. Dr. Peng is also the board of welfare committee at Taipei Zoo, SEAZA and EAZA.
Dr. David Powell
繁殖管理中心主任 Director of Reproductive Management Center, 美國動物園暨水族館協會Association of Zoos and Aquariums

David Powell is Director of Research in the Department of Reproductive and Behavioral Sciences at the Saint Louis Zoo. Previously he was associate curator of mammals at the Bronx Zoo overseeing carnivores, ungulates, and pachyderms. He has also worked in various roles at the Smithsonian National Zoo and Zoo Atlanta. He has a PhD in animal behavior from the University of Maryland. He studied behavior and reproductive biology in the feral horse population on Assateague Island off the Maryland coast. He did his postdoctoral work at the Smithsonian National Zoo and in China on giant panda behavior. He has studied a wide range of mammals in zoos and the field on topics including animal welfare, social dominance, foraging behavior, mating systems, endocrinology, animal personality, and captive husbandry. He has also studied affective experiences of zoo visitors and how it relates to conservation mindedness, and he conducted the largest ever survey of US zoo staff attitudes regarding population management euthanasia. He has served the AZA in a variety of capacities: Animal Welfare Committee, Animal Population Management Committee, Behavior Scientific Advisory Group, Equid and Caprine Taxon Advisory Group, and studbook keeper for Asian wild horse and greater Malayan chevrotain. He also currently serves as the Director of the AZA Reproductive Management Center at the Saint Louis Zoo, which researches and provides advice on reproductive management for zoo and aquarium animals at AZA-accredited institutions. He has also served on three National Academy of Science Panels related to the scientific aspects of the Bureau of Land Management’s Wild Horse and Burro Program and the use of dogs in biomedical research. He also serves on the editorial board of the journal Zoo Biology.
Dr. Christopher Tubbs
副主任Associate Director, 聖地亞哥動物園野生動物聯盟 San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance
Christopher Tubbs博士在聖地牙哥動物園野生動物聯盟擔任繁殖科學副主任。他對環境化學物質如何影響瀕臨絕種物種的繁殖感興趣。他的研究重點在於開發體外方法來測量環境化學物質與調節內分泌功能的激素受體之間的相互作用。
他目前正在實驗室中利用這種方法研究食用植物雌激素在人工飼養的南方白犀牛繁殖成功率不佳中的作用。另一個項目是調查污染物，如DDT和PCBs，以及它們對棲息在海岸的加州禿鷹繁殖的影響。
Tubbs博士於佛羅里達大學獲得動物學學士學位，並在德克薩斯大學奧斯汀分校的海洋科學研究所獲得博士學位，他在那裡研究了激素如何影響魚類精子運動的機制。
Dr. Christopher Tubbs serves San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance as Associate Director of Reproductive Sciences. Chris is interested in how environmental chemicals affect reproduction of endangered species. His research focuses on developing in vitro methods to measure interactions between environmental chemicals and the hormone receptors that regulate endocrine function.
He is currently using this approach in the lab to examine the role of dietary phytoestrogens in the poor reproductive success of captive-born southern white rhinos. Another project is investigating contaminants such as DDT and PCBs and how they affect reproduction of coastal-dwelling California condors.
Chris earned his bachelor’s degree in Zoology from the University of Florida and his doctorate from the University of Texas, Austin, Marine Science Institute, where he studied the mechanisms by which hormones influence fish sperm motility.
Dr. Heather Browning
心理學講師 Lecturer in Philosophy, 南安普敦大學 University of Southampton
Heather Browning博士是南安普敦大學哲學講師。她專攻動物福利、感知和倫理學。在現任職位之前，她曾作為倫敦政治經濟學院動物感知與福利研究員，參與了動物感知基金會項目。除了學術職業生涯外，Browning 在澳大利亞和新西蘭的多年間也擔任過動物園管理員和動物福利官員。
Heather Browning is a Lecturer in Philosophy at the University of Southampton. She specialises in animal welfare, sentience, and ethics. Prior to her current position, she worked as a researcher in animal sentience and welfare at the London School of Economics, as part of the Foundations of Animal Sentience project. Alongside her academic career, Browning has also worked for many years as a zookeeper and animal welfare officer across Australia and New Zealand.
Rachél Watkins Rogers
動物照養專業人員運輸訓練課程講師 Instructor of the Animal Transport for Animal Care Professionals, 美國動物園暨水族館協會Association of Zoos and Aquariums
Rachél Watkins Rogers是位已退休的動物園專業人士，有在動物園業工作超過45年，並擁有20年的動物運輸後勤與許可經驗，曾擔任動物園運輸專員。Rachél先前負責邁阿密佛羅里達州一個美國動物園暨水族館協會（AZA）認證的大型動物園的動物記錄管理、運輸許可和法規合規性。Rachél是一位退休的專業人士，但目前仍有擔任AZA動物照養專業人員運輸課程（ATACP）的講師。 她從事動物照養工作已超過30年，曾在AZA科學顧問小組（生物材料存儲/數據管理）、AZA政府事務委員會以及AZA北美地區古巴亞馬遜鸚鵡血統書管理員/物種經理。她曾於路易斯維爾動物園、邁阿密動物園、厄爾巴索動物園、猴子叢林、鸚鵡叢林花園以及聖地牙哥動物園等就職過。 Rachél還曾在動物研究界擔任過曼海默靈長類基金會（Mannheimer Primatological Foundation）的美國實驗動物科學協會（AALAS）認證的實驗動物技術員。曼海默靈長類基金會是一個供研究使用的SPF（特定病原體免疫）非人類靈長動物的繁殖設施。她還曾擔任邁阿密AALAS分會的董事會成員，擔任會員協調員。Rachél目前擔任動物專業人士有關許可、記錄保存和運輸物流的無償顧問和導師。
Rachél Watkins Rogers, Retired Zoological Professional, who has been in the zoological community for over 45 years with 20 years of logistics and permit experience as a zoological registrar. Rachél was previously responsible for records management, permits and regulatory compliance for a large Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) accredited zoological park in Miami, Florida, USA. Rachél is a retired professional who is still active as an Instructor for the AZA Animal Transport for Animal Care Professionals (ATACP) course.
She has worked in animal care for over 30 years, served on AZA Scientific Advisory Groups (Biomaterials Banking/ Data Management), AZA Government Affairs Committee and was an AZA North American Regional Studbook Keeper/ Species Manager for the Cuban Amazon PMP. Zoos that she has worked at are the Louisville Zoo, Zoo Miami, El Paso Zoo, Monkey Jungle, Parrot Jungle and Gardens, and San Diego Zoo.
Rachél has also previously worked in the animal research community as an American Association of Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) Certified Lab Animal Technician at Mannheimer Primatological Foundation. Mannheimer Primatological Foundation is a breeding facility for SPF (specific pathogen free) nonhuman primates used in research. She also served on the Board of Directors of the Miami Chapter of AALAS as a Membership Coordinator. Rachél is currently working as a pro bono consultant and mentor to animal professionals about permits, records keeping, and shipping logistics.
